I'm Tomás García Hertz, founder and also the designer of our journeys through Spain's most breathtaking landscapes. With over two decades of experience, I have crafted personalized adventures that unveil the essence of Spain's diverse ecosystems.
In our explorations, we draw a fascinating parallel between Spain's very own "Big 5" and Africa's iconic set. Just as enthusiasts seek out lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo in the African savannahs, we'll be on the lookout for Spain's equivalents: the Iberian lynx, Spanish imperial eagle, Iberian wolf, Eurasian brown bear and Spanish ibex.

My Story...
Growing up in Germany and Spain, from a Spanish father and German mother, I was immersed in the outdoors from a young age. My family introduced me to the wonders of our diverse landscapes and the incredible wildlife that thrived there .
My love for adventure however led me beyond Spain and Europe, and I spent years exploring Sub-Saharan Africa, together now with my family and immersing myself in its vibrant cultures and incredible ecosystems. As a tour leader and safari expert, I've climbed Kilimanjaro, traversed the Tian Shan and dived the Ningaloo Reef abyss of Es Vedrá. I'm also one of very few foreigners holding a license as a safari guide in Kenya.
Returning to my roots, I founded Nature Adventures Spain to share my love for Spain's hidden treasures. Our journeys embody the spirit of the Mediterranean – vibrant, resilient, and endlessly fascinating.
